Salvia 'Heatwave Sizzle'
Appreciably low maintenance.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Prolific pink flowers open for months on end. Easy care, dry tolerant and abundant.
‘Heatwave’ Salvias were bred for the dry climates of Australia. They are water wise, love the sun and don’t mind poor soils. Their improved breeding offers compact and well branched plants with tighter foliage so will look good for longer. They were bred from S. greggii and S. microphylla crosses.
Amazing in landscape plantings, containers, en masse or as an informal hedge. Good companion plants include Hemerocallis, grasses, Gaura and Agastache.
Salvia ‘Heatwave Sizzle’ is a great choice for gardens or containers. These rugged plants require little and do so much. Plant into moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Choose a sunny position and water to establish (this takes at least four weeks of regular watering), they become dry tolerant once they have settled in. To keep them blooming into autumn, give them a light midsummer trim to around half, this will also encourage a handsome habit.
The aromatic foliage and abundant flowers attract bees, butterflies and birds.
