This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
This awesome evergreen, flowering shrub can tough out trying conditions. Ceanothus ‘Pacific Wave’ grows close to the ground with a naturally lovely dense structure, come spring it is covered in masses of lavender blue blooms. This Australian bred, from plant doyen, David Glenn, this easy care plant needs minimal pruning, no pinching as it is naturally self branching and is easy growing.
A lovely choice for an embankment, dry garden or cottage landscape. It is even compact enough for a pot where it can spill gracefully from the sides.
Dry and frost tolerant once established. Ceanothus is virtually maintenance free, they are wonderful, flowering shrubs for a dry garden or tough spot. The glossy, dark green leaves provide a year round feature.
Ceanothus ‘Pacific Wave’ will grow well in poor soils and in a sunny position. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. They don’t like wet feet so drip irrigation is not recommended unless the soil is sharply drained. Prune after flowering to maintain strong, compact growth. Add a general purpose fertiliser in spring.
