Tall, mounding flowers that turn from white to pink and finally deep red – it is the reddest of all the paniculata varieties. This variety has impressive sun hardiness and the changing show will keep you captivated for many months. It is compact, well branched and long blooming. The flowers are also great for picking.

Early summer the white flower heads unfurl, as summer heats up so does the show with the petals blushing through a range of pinks. From early autumn, as the weather cools the flowers change again, to shades of reds.

An asset in courtyards, containers and gardens big or small. The flowers open from early summer and power on through autumn. These plants don’t need much maintenance and provide rich rewards.

PeeGee Hydrangea are very hip and happening in the world of landscapers and for good reason. They are valuable in part shade positions and offer very impressive and long lasting in blooms. They have good cold tolerance as they flower on new wood so are not bothered by late season frosts. They are deciduous and can be pruned to shape once the flowering has finished. While more sun hardy than most Hydrangeas, they are best protected from the harsh afternoon sun.
Hydrangeas grow best when planted in a sheltered position of the garden where the roots are cool and moist. If you add plenty of organic matter to the soil and you will be rewarded with masses of stunning blooms.
Hydrangea flowers are good for picking. To help make the flowers last longer, bring a bucket of water out with you to the garden, plunge them in as soon as you have cut the stem. Once you are inside, cut them again (cut the stem on an angle so it has more surface area and doesn’t sit on the bottom of the vase) and hold them in hot, boiled water for 30 seconds before arranging in a vase. If it starts to wilt, you can plunge it into a bucket of cold water – they can rehydrate through the petals, leaves and stems. You could also spritz them with a water spray.
