Dwarf Dahlia Hypnotica 'White'
New in 2024.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Perfectly double, uniform white blooms over deep green well branched foliage.
These early flowering, dwarf Hypnotica Dahlias are terrific fillers as they make bold, late season pops of colour. They are also a great choice for containers. Though the plant is petite, the flowers are a good size. The compact growth has superior branching and the blooms abundant. They all flower at the same time which enables you to mix and match colours to your specifications.
Hypnotica Dahlias are notably rain and mildew tolerant.
In pots a 20cm size will be filled to overflowing.
Plant Dahlias into moist, humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot, they need at least six hours to flower well and will flourish with plenty of light. In pots use a good quality potting mix and ensure there is adequate drainage holes. In pots you will need to ensure you water well once they are up and growing, if they dry out they will sulk and you won’t get a good display. You will also need to add fertiliser regularly to the container, as per the directions on the pack.
Dahlias have big blooms for a long period so fertiliser is important, a tomato fertiliser is a good choice. The addition of Sulphate of Potash, will encourage strong blooms and general plant health.
Remove spent flowers to keep the plants looking good and encourage more blooms. The flowers will last well in a vase, but the stems are shorter than standard Dahlias, as they sit just to the edge of the foliage.
