Gladioli 'Glamini Blondie'
New in 2024.
In stock
Up to ten pure white florets open on each stem. Great for picking and they can stand on their own in the garden.
The Glamini Series Gladiolus are perfectly sized for containers, small garden beds or layered borders in need of vertical accents. These more compact Gladiolus hybrids grow just 50-70cm high and are faster to bloom (2-3wks earlier). The smaller florets unfurl on strong stems that rarely need staking and last well, both in the garden and the vase. They can even produce up to two spikes in a season.
Glamini Gladioli are ideal in clumps or woven through beds, where their impressive colour range makes them a cinch to combine with other perennial plants such as Lilies, Salvias, Roses or Dahlias. They are also excellent in the picking garden.
Glamini Gladioli bring a welcome dimension of height to your garden and come in a huge array of colours, with something to suit everyone and every garden colour scheme. The bulbs are easy to plant and don't require a lot of fuss, humbly requiring sun and well drained soil.
It is best to wait until after frosts for planting. It is a good idea to ensure you plant your Glamini Gladioli bulbs deeply enough, this will reduce the need for staking.
Gladioli like a sunny position and you need to ensure you keep them moist when they are in flower for best results. From planting they will take 70-100 days to flower – quicker in warmer weather.
