Nepeta 'Nova Blue'
New in 2024.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A well behaved, dynamic ground cover with fragrant foliage and bright blooms. Beneficial insects and birds adore the flowers almost as much as cats!
The leaves velvety to the touch and are aromatic, with a lemon like smell when brushed against or crushed. Suitable for gardens, under roses, as edging, rockeries or in containers/hanging baskets. Flowers have a pretty good vase life.
Adaptable to a range of climates and soil types they are easy care and wonderfully rewarding.
Nepeta is commonly known as Catmint and is an easy care plant with few insect or disease problems. Dead head them regularly for constant flowers, OR cut back hard after the first flush of flowers, (around mid to late December) then fertilise for a repeat bloom into autumn.
Nepeta grows best in full sun to part shade. In warmer climates it will fare better with some protection from the hot afternoon sun. Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low.
