Bolivian Cactus 'Paradisian Pink'
A sharp choice.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Rounded, petite (5cm), barrel shaped stems with a dense covering bristles. If it is happy and healthy, it will be covered in pretty, rosy pink flowers spring/summer. Each bloom is an impressive 3cm and can last up to six days. The flowers open in succession so you can potentially enjoy weeks and weeks of amazing colour.
The longer you have it, the more stems that will grow, gradually filling the pot. Allow them to keep in a cluster rather than separating for the best blooms. Endemic to Bolivia and Argentina, this variety was locally hybridised in Victoria.
SIZE (HxW): 5-10cm x 5-10cm
I SEE THE LIGHT: Choose a brightly lit position out of the hot afternoon sun (which may burn the leaves or damage the roots in the pot).
I NEED A DRINK: Low water needs, water then allow the soil to dry out before watering again. You are more likely to kill it with kindness than neglect. They do their growing in summer so will likely require no watering over winter (depending on conditions).
I WILL SURVIVE: In pots use a well drained potting mix specially formulated for succulents and cactus. They aren’t huge fans of humidity, so it is best to ensure they have good air flow. Keep the pot small, they are better when overcrowded in their pot. Repot in winter every few years and allow to remain dry for a few weeks after.
