Miscanthus 'Cabaret'
New in 2025.
In stock

An impressive and novel grass with elegant, arching stems of green and cream foliage. This ornamental grass is easily used in landscapes to provide structure, colour and substance. The leaves are around 3cm across
It is absolutely fabulous in drifts as part of lawn schemes, in clumps through cottage gardens, in pots, massed displays or along fence lines. The foliage is quite upright, arching in a relaxed way towards the top of the plant.
Late summer to autumn, Miscanthus ‘Cabaret’ is adorned with bronze-pink feather like blooms – the colouring changes in the light and as they mature, to a handsome silver.
Miscanthus ‘Cabaret’ is a clump forming, semi evergreen grass that is a cinch to grow. Plant Miscanthus into any well drained soil in a sunny position, water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Dry tolerant once established.
Miscanthus ‘Cabaret’ can be left to stand over winter and where remains decorative and rather attractive to local birdlife. Cut back late winter or early spring to allow the new foliage to shine through. It will gradually fill out to form a nice clump.
Miscanthus is commonly known as Feather Grass, Zebra Grass, Porcupine Grass and Silvergrass.
