Rudbeckia 'Green Wizard'
New in 2025.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A magical perennial with lush foliage and towering, upright stems of green bracts and deep brown cones. Great in the garden and fabulous in arrangements. The cones can even be dried.
This is useful plant for beds and borders and they need very little care.
Plant in full sun to light shade, they need at least six hours of sun a day to flower at their best. Plant into moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish and then only if rainfall is low. Divide if they outgrow their space. It isn’t bothered by powdery mildew and doesn’t need staking. Plant where it is protected from strong winds or staking may be required.
Syn. Echinacea purpurea ‘Green Wizard’. Dead head regularly to increase bloom time, though it is impressive even without as the flowers stand well and leave ornamental seed heads.
