A quick to establish garden plant that will perform for many months with masses of flowers.
The musk pink to peachy apricot flowers open on slim, maroon stems from late spring right through summer with a seemingly endless supply.
Geums are highly valued, low growing ground covers or fillers with plenty of flowers. They establish quickly and need little in the way of care. The colourful flowers will adorn your beds with plenty left over to fill your vases.
Geums are relatively shade tolerant herbaceous perennials and grow best in morning sun, the harsh afternoon rays can sometimes scorch them, depending on moisture levels. Geums are easily woven through beds and borders or beneath deciduous trees. Tough, hardy and easy care!
Plant Geums in well drained, humus rich soil. Geums water well to establish, plants take around four weeks to establish and should be watered every other day during this time. Once established they are dry tolerant. Remove spent flower heads to encourage more blooms during the growing season.
