Quick to establish and perform with masses of flowers.
The musk pink flowers open on slim maroon stems late spring into summer. The blooms are long lasting and open in a seemingly endless supply.
By dead heading spent Geum flowers you will extend the flowering show.
Geums are relatively shade tolerant and grow best in morning sun, they should be sheltered from hot afternoon sun. You can weave them through beds and borders, plant them beneath deciduous trees or use them as a ground cover.
Geums prefer a humus rich, well drained soil. Water them in well on planting and keep them relatively moist whilst in flower. Add a slow release fertiliser to your Geums in spring and late summer for best results.
