Geum 'Jess'
Months of fabulous flowers.
In stock (low stock)
Geums are easy to grow plants that put on a big show. The peach and apricot brindle blooms open in profusion for months on end. The flowers are semi double on fuzzy stems to 30cm.By dead heading you will extend the season.
Geums are highly valued fillers with plenty of long lasting flowers. They establish quickly and need little in the way of care. The colourful flowers will adorn your beds with plenty left over to fill your vases.
Geums grow best in morning sun, the harsh afternoon rays can sometimes scorch them, depending on moisture levels, though the more they establish, the tougher they get. Geums are easily woven through beds and borders and are really easy care.
Plant Geums in well drained, humus rich soil. Geums water well to establish, plants take around four weeks to establish and should be watered every other day during this time. Once established they are dry tolerant. Remove spent flower heads to encourage more blooms during the growing season. They are frost hardy to -10C.
