Salvia 'Mystic Spires Blue'
Compact and free flowering.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
A dynamo in the garden with flowers galore. The upright stems of indigo blue flowers can, with a bit of light pruning, repeat into autumn. It is a wonderful border/bedding plant and also works well in containers (where it will be more compact).
The foliage forms a dense, tidy mound below the blooms. It is a condensed and better behaved form of the legendary Salvia 'Indigo Spires' which has been hugely popular around the world for many years.
Salvia ‘Mystic Spires Blue’ is a well branched, tough and hardy. Grows best in full sun with a well drained soil; drainage is especially important over a wet winter. Once established it is quite dry tolerant. Pinch out the spent blooms to keep it blooming and encourage a dense habit. As it goes into winter dormancy it can be pruned back to 20cm to make way for the new growth.
Salvia ‘Mystic Spires Blue’ is a compact plant so suitable for pots.
