Aquilegia Kirigami Mixed
A spring sensation.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

An unlabelled mixture of pictured and alternative cultivars. This is an economical way to fill your garden with cottage colour. With Kirigami Aquilegias you will have oodles of flowers to enjoy in the garden with some left over for picking!
The next level up from the well known, and loved Origami Aquilegia series. These F1 hybrids have reliable, early and prolific blooms that are even bigger (they are about double the size of a standard bloom, up to 8cm). They also need less winter chill, which is good news for those of you wishing to grow them in warmer climes. Plus the longer stems are great for cutting.
Aquilegias are cottage garden essentials, with sweet flowers and delightfully lacy, mid green foliage. One of their great features is the elegant, fern like leaves will make a beautiful foil for the fading spring flowering bulbs.
Aquilegias thrive in light to moderate shade though; with sufficient moisture will tolerate full sun. They are best planted in moist, well drained, humus rich soil. They will even grow well in pots, just be sure to water them.
After the initial flowering has finished, you can cut the stems back to the basal foliage and fertilise for a second flush of flowers.
