Brilliant tangerine petals with a golden shimmer, as if they have been dusted with gold. Each stem has up to 20 florets. Quite a spectacular garden addition.
Nerines are the ultimate source of low maintenance autumn and winter colour. The flowers show before the foliage, allowing their beauty to shine unencumbered.
Nerine bulbs love to bake in the sun so ideally plant your bulb just under the soil surface in a sunny spot. All they need to flourish is a well drained soil and the occasional light application of fertiliser. Once planted, let them lie there year after year, allowing the clump of bulbs to become overcrowded. In other words; plant, relax and enjoy the show!
A lesser appreciated but very important benefit of Nerines and Lycoris is that the different varieties flower at different times. This means that if you plant a range of these bulb varieties, you will enjoy splashes of colour from February until winter every year.
