Free flowering, dry tolerant long lasting. Rounded umbels of bell-shaped, deep blue flowers dance above the foliage in mid to late summer. These vigorous, clump forming, herbaceous perennials produce narrow, upright foliage which are 15-40cm long. This plant is versatile, low maintenance and will grow in pots.
Agapanthus ‘Isis’ is a heritage variety that dates back to 1955, it was selected by Alan Bloom and it is much favoured by plant enthusiasts.
Agapanthus are hardy, vigorous plants that are easily grown throughout most of Australia, in fact, these stunners are virtually fool proof.
Whether you use Agapanthus as a border plant, weave them through beds, put them in pots or plant them just for picking they are hard to beat.
Agapanthus have long lasting flowers summer to autumn that are also lovely picked.
Plant Agapanthus into a well drained soil in a spot with plenty of sun. Water to establish, it takes around 4-6 weeks of regular watering for the plants roots to penetrate and gain access to the nutrients and moisture in the soil so should be kept well watered after planting.
