These vigorous, clump forming perennials produce narrow, strap-shaped, deciduous, greyish green leaves which are 15-40cm long. Rounded umbels of bell-shaped dark blue flowers dance above the foliage in mid to late summer. This plant is versatile and will grow in pots.
Agapanthus are hardy, vigorous plants that are easily grown throughout most of Australia, in fact, these stunners are virtually fool proof.
Whether you use Agapanthus as a border plant, weave them through beds, put them in pots or plant them just for picking they are hard to beat.
Agapanthus have long lasting flowers summer to autumn that are also lovely picked. Plant Agapanthus into a well drained soil in a spot with plenty of sun and you will soon have tidy clumps of lush foliage growth.
