Botanical Name: Citrus x limon

Plant Type: Evergreen shrub
Size (HxW): 100-150cm x 80-100cm
Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as in the pot with the roots spread below the soil. Space 80-100cm apart.
Aspect: Full sun to light shade
Soil: Moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil.
Climate: Cool to Sub Tropical
Frost: Hardy
Water: Water in well to established, once they have settled in they are more dry tolerant. In pots water regularly, especially when in fruit/flower.
Fertiliser: Add a citrus fertiliser in autumn and spring as per directions on the pack for pot/garden. They have shallow feeder roots that can be mulched after fertilising.
Flowering Time: Spring/autumn, harvest summer, spot harvest year round.
After Flower Care: Prune as required.
Notes: In pots use a good quality potting mix and a decent sized pot with good drainage holes. In pots, consistent moisture and regular liquid fertilisers are important. The healthier you keep your plant, the more fruit it will produce so it is worth looking after them. They appreciate good air flow, this is important with placement and pruning.
