A garden worthy ornamental grass that creates beautiful movement wherever it is grown.

The evergreen tussocks work really well in mass plantings, cottage gardens, xeriscapes, pots, there are so many applications.

The mid green leaves grow to around 60cm and the silver to straw coloured flower panicles grow up to 45cm above them.

Deschampsia is a useful plant for adding some structure and stature. Easy to care for, once planted it will thrive on neglect.

Plant in full sun to part shade in moderately fertile to humus rich soil. Deschamspia adapts well to both dry and moist soils. Cut back early spring to allow new growth to shine. Trouble free of pests and diseases and will not self seed.
