Euphorbia Silver Swan 'Wilcott'
These colourful, evergreen, upright stems are a gorgeous way to add structure and interest to your garden. From mid winter they are crowned with cream and lime green bracts and flowers that last forever and a day. So easy to care for, dry/wind tolerant and even happy in poor soils.
The white to cream leaves have a silver edge and green markings through the centre. They look fantastic in an arrangement if you can bear to pick them.
Euphorbia Silver Swan ‘Wilcott’ is easy care, even in moderately fertile to poor soils as long as it has good drainage. It thrives in a sunny spot. It also grows well in containers. They are tolerant of coastal conditions and become dry tolerant as they establish. A light sprinkling of an all purpose fertiliser in spring is pretty much all they need to be happy. The flowers are sterile so last well but won’t throw seed.
Plant in a sunny spot, if they are in too much shade the green colouring will dominate the foliage. Cut spent flower stems back to the base of the plant if they don’t please you – don’t forget to wear gloves as the sap irritates the skin as with all Euphorbias.
Euphorbia Silver Swan ‘Wilcott’ thrives in coastal areas, Mediterranean gardens, pots, beds, shrub border, fence lines or xeriscapes.
