Rudbeckia Sunbeckia 'Carolina'
Great in pots or gardens.
Short delay - awaiting stock
Exciting fresh breeding has resulted in these highly uniform bedding or patio plants. The pickable, XL blooms are about as big has your hand (well my hand at least, say around 15-20cm) on sturdy stems. The eye catching blooms are equally loved by pollinators, florists and gardeners.
Sunbeckia ‘Carolina’ has deep golden flowers with a rich, red halo.
These dynamo will flower and flower with very little care. The incredibly compact plants have well branched growth so there is no need to pinch, just enjoy the show.
Plant in full sun to light shade, they need at least six hours of sun a day to flower at their best. A moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil is ideal. Water to establish and then only if rainfall is low. In pots use a good quality potting mix.
Dead head regularly to increase bloom time, though it is impressive even without. In pots take extra care of them to ensure they can perennialise. In the ground they need a frost free spot or should be treated as an annual. Elsewhere they can easily last two or three seasons and be treated as a perennial.
