An all new selected strain from a local nursery. This variety was singled out and bred for its vigour and flower power. Ideal in a morning sun or partly shaded position – often hard to fill areas in the landscape.
Japanese Anemone ‘Single Pink’ is easy to grow and love. The longer Japanese Anemones have to establish, the more flowers you will be able to enjoy. Even after the flowers have faded, the seed heads remain decorative and can be left standing to extend the show into winter.
The flowers open on narrowly branched stems over deep green foliage. Japanese Anemones will quickly grow to form a healthy clump. They are an easy choice for adding height to a shady border.
Plant Japanese Anemone in moist, humus rich, well drained soil. They grow best in morning sun or part shade though, with a bit of extra water will succeed in sun.
Cut back Japanese Anemones in winter and add some mulch to protect the plant. Alternatively leave the foliage until spring and then prune to tidy.
The flowers of Japanese Anemones can be picked for indoor displays.
