Growing to just 15cm, this super cute dwarf Shasta boasts continuous bloom from as early as November and can continue right into autumn. You can easily grow Leucanthemum ‘Darling Daisy’ in a garden or container. The flowers are perfectly pickable and last well in a posy.
Plant Leucanthemum ‘Darling Daisy’ in a fairy garden, border edge, container, rockery or wherever you need a splash of bloom. Friendly pollinators favour their long season too.
Leucanthemum ‘Darling Daisy’ is a vigorous cultivar with strong, upright stems that do not require staking. The mid to dark green toothed leaves grow at the base of the stems.
Plant Leucanthemum ‘Darling Daisy’ in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Pick or dead head the flowers regularly to encourage more blooms and keep them coming into autumn. Cut back hard in winter to maintain a healthy, compact plant.
Leucanthemum are commonly known as Shasta Daisies. The genus name, Leucanthemum is Greek and descriptive of the bloom; Leucos translates to white and anthos to flower. Syn. Chrysanthemum maximum. Leucanthemum are commonly known as Shasta Daisies. This variety is also sold as ‘Kiemer’.
