These are some grrreat Lilies. The tutti frutti combination of pink and yellow makes them zing. What is most amazing about these flowers is that the colour combination really works.
Tiger Lilies have stood the test of time, they were hybridised for gardens, not florists, this means they are easy to grow and very floriferous. The flowers open from midsummer and last well in both gardens and vases. Newer varieties have the added edge of modern breeding to make them even better.
Simply plant, your Tiger Lilies, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy.
Choose a humus rich, moist, well drained soil in a sunny location – half a day of sun is perfect. Liliums appreciate afternoon shade. Water in, and keep moist during active growth. To keep them blooming it is a good idea to add fertiliser and mulch in autumn and summer, as the bulbs are coming and going.
