Aeonium 'Pink Witch'
A bewitching Aeonium with variegated foliage in glorious pink colouration. Puts out good offsets. Suitable as a houseplant. Definitely the best pink and one much sought after in the Aeonium ‘world’.
Aeonium ‘Pink Witch’ is a hybrid of A. ‘Blushing Beauty’, which was originally from A. ‘Velour’ one of the most renowned and loved varieties in Australia and the world. The best pink will be in summer and in bright, filtered light.
In winter or in full sun or a darker spot the greens and creams become more prominent. The colour is always good though, no matter what time of year. On arrival it will be mainly green and cream with a touch of pink at the edges.
SIZE (HxW): 20-40cm x 10-40cm
I SEE THE LIGHT: Bright, indirect light is ideal. In high light the foliage colour will change. Keep out of the hot afternoon sun lest their leaves be sunburned or roots damaged. You will get the best foliage colour in bright light. They may stretch if they don’t have enough light.
I NEED A DRINK: Low, water well, then allow the soil to almost dry out before watering again. Keeping them on the drier side will result in better colour. If they are bone dry the leaves will wither and shrink – this is a cry of help. They are dormant through summer so at this time, ideally, protect them from the hot sun and reduce watering.
I WILL SURVIVE: These plants are so easy, they pretty much look after themselves. In pots ensure you choose a cactus/succulent potting mix for best results as it offers the sharp drainage they need. Choose a pot with drainage holes to ensure they don’t end up sitting in water. Offsets will form at the base of the plant, they can be left to continue the
