Double Winter Rose 'Enchantress'
An enchanting bloom with layers of dusty pink defined with a maroon shadow. A fast favourite of ours.
Double Winter Roses are just as easy to grow with large, layered blooms. Winter Roses proliferate in low light areas and will even thrive in poor soils. They make the perfect companion for early spring bulbs such as Galanthus, Crocus, miniature daffodils and Iris.
Simple to plant, hardy and easy grow, Winter Roses will flower for decades without fuss.
Almost indestructible and certainly indispensible, Winter Roses are ideal for dressing up the shady spots in your garden. They provide a long lasting floral display, from winter to spring and their handsome, evergreen foliage remains a year round feature.
Winter Roses, or Hellebores are durable and versatile in the garden. They thrive beneath deciduous trees, in filtered light or part shade (they don't tend to flower as well in really heavy shade). They will even grow in containers. The plentiful, enduring flowers measure around 5-8cm across.
Winter Roses can set seed but are unlikely to flower true to type as they hybridise easily. They offer great value with the seedlings either left to their own devises, moved or shared.
The blooms open so freely there is plenty for picking - a real boon for winter. A nice way to display them is floating in a bowl as a table centrepiece.
