Dwarf Iris Collection
Dwarf Iris unfurl in the dark days of winter, bringing heart warming colour back into our gardens.
Dwarf Iris look wonderful in a rockery, packed into a pot or towards the front of a garden bed. You get one or two flowers per bulb so they are best planted in clumps. Each flower lasts from three days to a week.
Dwarf Iris are very hardy bulbs that will tolerate frost, full sun to semi shade and any well drained soil.
Plant around 8cm deep and space 5cm apart. Water in well, then only if rainfall is low during growth. The bulbs don’t need to be lifted and can be left in the ground to naturalise and multiply steadily.
They originate in Turkey and the Middle East so appreciate a dry summer.
The bulbs are small, so mark their spot so as you don’t lose them!
