Pheasant's Eye Daffodil Seagull

Dating back to the late 1800’s this stately, heritage Daffodil has stood the test of time. Flowering early to mid spring, these blooms last well and are great for picking. The white perianth is swept back with inflexed margins. The heart of the flower, the bowl shaped cup is a bright yellow with a dark orange rim that matures to yellow. A strong grower that will multiply well in the right conditions.
Pheasant Eye Daffodils are princely blooms. They are really easy care and produce breathtaking flowers.

Great in the garden, these Daffodils are easy to grow and can be left in the ground to naturalise. Their natural beauty never goes out of style. Pheasant Eye Daffodils like plenty of sun and a well drained soil.

Plant Pheasant Eye Daffodils bulbs three times as deep as the bulb is high with the pointy end up. The depth will protect them from heat and soil erosion. Space 10-20cm apart, more if you are leaving the bulbs in to naturalise.

Once the flowering has finished you can remove the flower stem. Allow the Pheasant Eye Daffodils foliage to remain until it has yellowed. The foliage gathers energy and nutrients at this time for next year’s blooms. Keep relatively moist during this time and add a little general purpose fertiliser. Daffodils like Potash and slow release brands which are low in nitrogen (more flowers – less foliage).
