Philadelphus Collection
Sensational, fragrant shrubs for borders or hedging. In summer, the foliage is covered with white, fragrant blooms. Tough as they come, easy care and highly ornamental.
Philadelphus shrubs are quick to establish and rewarding to grow. The mid to bright green, serrated leaves grow to around 11cm along the elegant, bowing branches.
Plant Philadelphus in full sun to semi shade in moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish, it takes 4-6 weeks of regular watering for the roots to penetrate the surrounding soil and gain access to its moisture and nutrients. They become dry tolerant as they establish. You can enjoy its natural habit or prune into a shrub, espalier or train to your whims. Philadelphus perfume is generally at its best in the evening.
One of each variety separately labelled. Includes Philadelphus mexicanus (Mock Orange), Philadelphus ‘Belle Etoile’ and Philadelphus ‘Virginal’.
