Notes
Squill are particularly attractive in rock gardens, woodland gardens, and meadows. Protect from slugs and snails. Best left to naturalise, if disturbed they may take a season or so to flower. If planting in pots ensure the pot is large as the bulb has a hefty root system. Slow to multiply by division, seed should be planted fresh, or refrigerated (seed takes 4-7 years to flower). It is poisonous to stock – though they are unlikely to graze due to the bitter taste.
