- Water to establish then only if rainfall is low – establishing plants can take four weeks or more and they need regular watering at that time. In pots, allow the soil to almost dry out before watering – ensure there are good drainage holes as they tend to rot if left to sit in water. On hot days it may be necessary to water twice depending on where they are situated. They are forgiving but will flower better and longer with a bit of love.
