- DEPTH & SPACING
- Plant at the same depth as in the pot with the roots spread evenly below the soil surface. Space 20- 40cm apart. A 20-40cm pot is suitable.
- SOIL
- Moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. In pots use a good quality potting mix.

- Filtered light to part sun with protection from the hot afternoon rays.

- FROST
- Tender, growing them under trees or in pots will protect them from damage. In areas of heavy frost it should be treated as an annual.
- WATER
- Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. They won’t tolerate wet feet and tend to rot. In pots you will need to water more often, and ensure the pots have drainage holes.
- FERTILISER
- A light application of a general purpose fertiliser in summer is sufficient, they are not heavy feeders. In pots, add a diluted liquid fertiliser monthly during active growth.

- AFTER FLOWER CARE
- Pinch out any flowers to encourage more and better foliage. They are not ornamentally significant.
- NOTES
- Suitable for growing indoors in a brightly lit position. Ensure good air flow around plants. Watch for thrips. Pinch off the top growth to encourage more bushiness – these varieties are naturally predisposed to branch but if they start to stretch it is recommended.
