Water: Water to establish; drought tolerant thereafter, needing only minimal supplementary watering.
Fertiliser: Little required — a light application of slow-release fertiliser in spring is sufficient. Overly rich soil reduces its neat, compact form.

After Flower Care: Trim lightly after flowering to maintain a neat, dense form. As an evergreen, no seasonal cutting back is required — simply tidy and shape through the growing season. Divide larger clumps every few years in spring if desired.
Notes: Forms a dense mound of glossy, aromatic dark green foliage topped with rosy pink to magenta flower spikes that attract bees and butterflies. A popular choice for edging paths, low hedging or the front of a border. Tough and largely trouble-free; the main risk is root rot in poorly drained, waterlogged soil.
