Delphinium Sherwood Series Lilac and White

Plant Delphiniums in full sun to light shade. Ensure you allow good air flow between plants. The Sherwood Series of Delphiniums has nice compact growth.

Delphiniums need a cool to temperate climate to grow and perform at their best. Protect from strong winds. Provide staking for the flower stems, a bit of extra work, but like the old saying goes, beauty is pain! And these plants are definitely beautiful.

Grow Delphiniums in a humus rich, moist, well drained soil. To flower at their best they need to be fertilised well. A well rotted sheep manure and some mulch is recommended. Delphiniums do not like to sit in water and good drainage is vital. Water in well, then keep moist during active growth.

Once the flower stem has finished, cut it back to just above the ground, and add some fertiliser. You should have a second flush in autumn. Add more fertiliser when you see the new growth
