Undemanding beauty.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
A large, vigorous climber with a red and purple autumn display. Boston Ivy is an ideal choice for covering walls or fences quickly – it is known as ‘Mountain Climbing Tiger’ in its homeland of China.
Boston Ivy leaves are made up of three, pointed leaflets, hence the botanical name ‘tricuspidata’ meaning three pointed. Parthenocissus is formed from two Greek words, parthenos – virgin and kissos – ivy.
Boston Ivy is a self clinging vine that can be planted into moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. They grow in either sun or shade – though you will get the best autumn colour in sun and become dry tolerant as they establish.
