A rare, valuable find.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
This Australian bred Daffodil is from famous Tasmanian breeder Rod Barwick. The corona is deep and open, with almost a decorative collar of petals to 4cm across. The flowers are white with a green blush and open in succession August to September.
Hoop Petticoat ‘Spoirot’ is a great daffodil for Australian conditions. They are also great value for money, as established bulbs can produce up to 10 flowers in a growing season.
Hoop Petticoat Daffodil ‘Spoirot’ works best tightly grouped. You can grow them in pots, along the edge of a garden bed or in a rockery and they are excellent under deciduous trees.
Plant Hoop Petticoat ‘Spoirot’ three times as deep as the bulb is high, in a sunny, well drained spot. Bulbs can be left in the ground for many years without having to lift them and they will multiply at a nice, steady rate. Keep moist during active growth and relatively dry in summer dormancy. Basically you can treat the bulbs as you would any Daffodils.
