Aster White Beauty
A rare beauty.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

It uncommon to find a white form of these gorgeous plants. The cheerful, double flowers open in abundance on the compact plants. Mix it with the common blue forms for a wow of a show. Alternatively a good companion for rock garden plants.
The compact size means it is easy to slot into the garden (especially if you are like me and already bulging at the seams). It makes a terrific edging plant and looks fantastic in rock gardens, and will grow well in a container.
Once established Asters don't require a lot of water, even though they grow and flowers through the hotter times of the year. Grow in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. This variety can be short lived, but for the three or four years it blooms it puts on a memorable show, and produces seed.
In the language of flowers, Aster's denote love or daintiness. The word, Aster, is Latin for Star. Asters are commonly known as Easter Daisies or Michaelmas Daisies.
Asters have now been botanically separated into different genus. The European species remain Aster. The North American have changed into three genera, Symphyotrichum, Eurybia and Doellingeria. We like the umbrella, old fashioned, easier to pronounce, Aster but if you want to be correct and up to date in classification, this variety should be Symphyotrichum alpinus ‘White Beauty’.
