Species Tulips Urumiensis Tulip
Golden stars.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A sun loving dwarf tulip with great garden appeal. The bright golden yellow flowers are bronzed on the outside with reddish brown ribs and white points. The blooms are followed by decorative seed heads. The flower sits quite low upon the leaves that form almost a rosette around the stem.
Urumiensis Tulip leaves grow to 12cm and have a red to purple border. It is long flowering and can be left to naturalise in a well drained soil.
Species Tulips have a more relaxed or whimsical feel than the common hybridized varieties. If planted in a well drained soil in a spot that does not get too hot over summer then the bulbs can be left in the ground for many years. Species Tulips are ideal for rock gardens, lawn plantings, pots or towards the front of a border.
