Throughout summer towers of soft amethyst flowers open on narrow stems over dense, bright green foliage. They are simply lovely.
These cottage garden, romantic blooms open throughout summer and with a hair cut (to a third) will rebloom in autumn.
Plant into moderately fertile to humus rich, moist, well drained soil. In ideal conditions it will establish quickly and the evergreen foliage will form a lovely, low mound. Remove spent flowers to prevent self seeding and encourage a second round of blooms. Left to its own devices it will ramble freely and provide you with years of joy.
