Salvia 'Purple and Bloom'
Quick and easy.
Short delay - awaiting stock

Big, mounding foliage topped continuously with a generous number of black spires that are bursting with purple blooms from spring to autumn.
The royal purple florets open from dark, almost black calyxes above the foliage, forming a deep haze over the plant. The leaves are lovely and thick, so can stand up to the heat. An excellent bedding or large container plant that is quick to establish with a long bloom period.
Salvia ‘Purple and Bloom’ is a great choice for gardens or containers. These rugged plants require little and do so much. Plant into moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Choose a sunny position and water to establish, they become dry tolerant once they have settled in.
The aromatic foliage and abundant flowers attract bees, butterflies and so many birds! It is possibly on of the most visited plants in the garden. Sometimes I have found they love the flowers a little too much and the larger birds can bend the branches. But it is wonderful to have the birds and there are enough stems produced by this vigorous Salvia that it still looks good.
