Lilium 'Orange Planet'
New in 2024.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
Outward to upward facing orange trumpets with a divine fragrance. It is this flower positioning that makes these lilies so special in the world of trumpets (L. longiflorum) and makes them even better for picking. Most trumpets are outward or downward facing. The flowers stretch to around 15cm across.
The flower colour will vary with temperature, cooler weather will create more intense colouring.
Trumpet Liliums add glamour and fragrance to the garden. They are also tough, and able to withstand our hot summers.
Plant Trumpet Liliums in a permanent position in the garden and as they establish, the more flowers they will bear and the taller the stems will be. Ensure you fertilise your well to ensure the best blooms. Fertilise when you first see growth, then again as they are in bloom.
In warmer climates, it is a good idea to grow your Trumpet Liliums in part shade or morning sun so the flowers last longer. Water to establish and keep moist in active growth for best results.
