Statice 'Sinzii Deep Lavender'
New in 2024.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A cross of L. sinatum and L. perezii, combining the best of both; deep solid colours on strong, flat stems and large panicles. Wonderful in bouquets, these flowers dry easily and last well. The glowing, deep lavender florets are interspersed with the occasional cream which serves to highlight their beauty. A water wise, low maintenance plant with great value.
Statice Sinzii ‘Deep Lavender’ has no issues with pests or disease and is well structured. If you are growing flowers for picking at home, this is a great choice. Large rosettes of grey-green, wavy foliage grow low the ground, allowing the flowers to shine.
Fantastic in dry gardens, coastal areas and borders.
Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil – sandy and poor soils aren’t a problem. Water in well, it takes the roots around six weeks to penetrate the surrounding soil and gain access to its moisture and nutrients so they need to be well watered in the meantime. Once established it is really dry tolerant so is unlikely to need supplementary watering unless it is very dry. Frost tolerant. Add a bit of garden lime to high acid soils in spring/autumn for best growth. Rabbits and deer tend to steer clear.
Limonium is commonly known as Statice or Sea Lavender.
