Callicarpa Giraldii
One of the best.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Beauty Berry or Callicarpa bodinieri var. giraldii is a neat, compact, deciduous shrub with a great array of features.
In summer Beauty Berry ‘Giraldii’ has clusters of small pink flowers with deep to mid green foliage. In autumn the flowers fall and there is an amazing show of berries (inedible). They begin with the foliage and remain long after it falls. The berries are an incredibly beautiful metallic-violet colour and look wonderful in the garden and in vases. It is a good idea to plant more than one to get the best out of the berries through cross pollination. Fortunately they look good/amazing clustered together in a shrub border, in a garden bed or as specimens.
Through winter some berries will hold and the handsome branch structure is exposed.
In spring the young foliage emerges bronze and matures to a dark green on the arching branches.
Plant Beauty Berry in a full sun to part shade position into a well drained, humus rich soil. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low.
