Strawberries Torrey
A great variety for warmer climates.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Strawberry, Torrey, is an old Californian variety. It is a vigorous grower with good colour and is a very tasty Strawberry. A good choice for warmer climates like NSW and parts of Qld as it doesn't need the cool weather to set fruit. Strawberry 'Torrey' yields well during spring and early summer with firm fruit.
The taste of home grown strawberries is so much sweeter than the ones from the supermarket, they are simply irresistible. Strawberries are easy and rewarding to grow.
Strawberries should be planted in to prepared soil. We recommend digging through some mulch and or well rotted manure prior to planting.
Strawberries flourish in well drained, fertile soils and need at least six hours sun a day to fruit well. It is a good idea to mulch your Strawberries to keep the area free of weeds and lock in the moisture. You should also protect your Strawberries from slugs, snails and birds.
Strawberries grow well in pots, vegetable gardens or ornamental beds.
