Gloriosa Lily 'Rothschildiana'
Glorious and exotic.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The large flowers are just gorgeous. The combination of lipstick red and deep cream on softly ruffled petals is divine and the flower colour deepens as they age. If you can bear to remove them from the garden they also make good cut flowers. ‘Rothschildiana’ is the best variety of Gloriosa to grow.
Gloriosa Lilies are a climbing Lily and are simple to grow up a trellis, along a fence, up a tree or shrub, up a wall or even has a house plant. This fast growing climber uses the tendrils at the ends of their leaves to cling to their support.
You can grow Gloriosa Lilies in pots or in the garden. Water to establish, then keep them moist in active growth. Plant into a humus rich, well drained soil in a bright light position. In cool climates it is best to choose a warm spot in the garden. They hail from the tropics of Africa and Asia so adore the humidity.
Gloriosa ‘Rothschildiana’ is a non-invasive variety.
Other common names for Gloriosa Lilies are Flame Lilies, Fire Lilies and Climbing Lilies.
