An excellent Hoya for indoor use, prospering in any well lit area. The tiny cream white flowers bloom easily. The tiny blooms are around 3mm across and form bunches of up to 20 flowers. For their size, the blooms really pack a lot of punch fragrance wise. They will perfume a whole room! The foliage is dense.
Hoya flowers have a sweet fragrance, that is strongest in the cool night air.
The blooms open in bunches on stalks called peduncles. These Peduncles produce years of flowers. When the stop blooming it is best to remove them.
Hoyas are ideal indoor pot or patio plants. The foliage will need a support to climb up or choose a hanging basket and let the leafy stems fall. Hoyas are low maintenance and require no pruning. They grow best in a bright light position such as by a sunny window.
Plant Hoyas into a loamy, well drained soil or potting mix. They may take a year or two to really flower and they are at their best when they are pot bound. Use a fertiliser high in Potash and spray some on the leaves to promote flowering. They need enough light in order to flower, either artificial or sun so try for six hours a day. It is best to avoid touching the new stems as they are sensitive and it may delay flowering.
Water Hoyas well over spring and summer, then allow the soil or potting mix to almost dry out before watering again. In autumn and winter allow the planting medium to dry out before watering again.
