This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Evergreen Solomon’s Seal makes an ideal ground cover for shaded areas. Once established, it copes with both moist and dry conditions.
The handsome white bells have a sweet, lemon fragrance and open in pairs along the leaf axils from spring to summer. The handsome blooms average 2cm and have a green blush at their flared tip. After the followers finish, ornamental blue berries form and fall in autumn.
The strong stems are upright and gain an elegant, gentle arch as they mature. The foliage is a handsome glossy green and opens along the stems. Each leaf averages 12cm long.
This rare, rhizomatous evergreen is native to the forested areas and streams of Northern China so adore dappled light conditions and can grow in full shade. This makes it ideal for Cool to Temperate climates, where it can naturalise happily in woodland conditions. Ideally plant into a moist, humus rich soil. Adding a leaf mulch in autumn and winter to keep them happy and healthy. Will slowly spread through the underground rhizomes. Will become more dry tolerant as they establish. Keep an eye out for slugs and snails especially with new spring foliage.
