The name Rosenwein translates to Rose Wine reflecting the colour of the blooms. The rough, grey green foliage forms a neat clump beneath the blooms.

Grow Salvias in a sunny location in well drained soil. Salvias are dry tolerant once established and look wonderful in beds, borders or dry gardens. They have a vigorous growth and are easy care.

Dead head spent flowers on Salvias, after the first flush to encourage re-bloom. A semi evergreen to herbaceous variety which should be pruned hard in winter or early spring.
