The scalloped mid green leaves have tiny hairs so when it rains the water forms beads that glitter like diamonds in the sun. A more compact form of the common Lady’s Mantle. The scalloped leaves are green with a hint of silver.
From late spring to autumn, the handsome foliage of Lady’s Mantle is complimented by loose cymes of lime green flowers.
Grow Lady’s Mantle or Alchemilla as a ground cover, in a pot, beneath roses, on embankments, in cottage gardens or towards the front of your beds. Lady’s Mantle grows well in part shade, protect from hot summer sun. Plant in moist, humus rich, well drained soil for best results.
Prune spent foliage in autumn to keep plants tidy. Flowers will set seed but are not invasive, the plants will ramble gently. Protect young foliage from slugs and snails.
