An exotic, yet easy to grow plant. Euphorbia Medusas Head has snake like branches that radiate from a central caudex. The stems grow up to 30cm long. A mature plant will produce a ring or crown of small yellow flowers around the caudex.
Use Medusas Head as a house plant or on the patio or somewhere out of frost with bright, filtered light. Plant into a well drained soil or potting mix. You should water in to establish and then keep the soil just moist. They can handle a little more water than your average Cactus or Succulent. Plant in a bright light or sunny position.
Like all Euphorbias, the sap is toxic and should not come into contact with skin. Wash immediately if it does. The branches are quite flexible. A mature plant will produce pups that you can pot on.
Medusa was a monster or Gorgon from Greek Mythology who is said to have been cursed by Athena to have a snakes instead of hair and to turn anyone who looked at her into stone.
