Anemone Devotion Pink

Layer upon layer of pink petals. These blooms were lovingly bred in Australia.

Tall and strong, vigorous and prolific, Devotion Anemones are our favourite Anemones. They offer fuller flowers and more productive corms, with weeks of flowers.

The Devotion Anemone series was bred by Frank Baguley. He lovingly dedicated more than 35 years to develop this strain of Anemones. They are more double, the flowers are larger than the average doubles (St Brigid types), the stems are taller, stronger and more abundant.

The Devotion Anemone series is the only one of its type in the world. Frank started with one plant that was a very double, a deep pink, and from that one plant and many thousands of crosses with careful selection of the best plants he developed the Devotion strain. This reflects Frank's patience, dedication and total devotion to creating the ideal double Anemone. Frank is still lovingly hand pollinating his mother stock plants, always introducing small improvements to the strain.

Anemones are beautiful flowers that open for weeks on end. Small on price and big on show.
You could try mixing them into a cottage garden or create a colourful feature with mass plantings. You can even cut them for indoor displays.

Plant Devotion Anemones in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Fertilise regularly and they will deliver rich rewards. These small corms grow quickly and bear lots of blooms so they need adequate nutrition to flower at their best.
