Layers of mussed golden petals, like the hair of the legendary one who slept for 20 years and awoke … without a brush! Flowers very early season.

Petite blooms that are small in size but big on impact. They are perfect for small gardens, pots or the front of beds. Miniature Daffodils that replicate their bigger ‘cousins’ in everything but size are just superb. Tough, hardy and easy to grow these daffodils add garden fun and always attract attention. Each bulb produces more than one flower.

Daffodils like plenty of sun and a well drained soil.

It is a good idea to prepare your soil by digging through some well rotted manure a few weeks prior to planting. This will improve drainage and add nutrients to the soil, giving your plants a good start.

Plant Daffodil bulbs three times as deep as the bulb is high with the pointy end up. The depth will protect them from heat and soil erosion. Space 10-20cm apart, more if you are leaving the bulbs in to naturalise.

Once the flowering has finished you can remove the flower stem. Allow the foliage to remain until it has yellowed. The foliage gathers energy and nutrients at this time for next years blooms. Keep relatively moist during this time and add a little general purpose fertiliser. Daffodils like Potash and slow release brands which are low in nitrogen (more flowers – less foliage).
